Parenting Support

Parenthood is a time of incredible joy, exhaustion, and everything in between. Here are some resources for local parents to find the support they need.

Mama's Comfort Camp - Free, online support group for moms, in Ithaca and online: Gentle guidance for mothers struggling with anxiety, postpartum depression, and guilt, who want to create healthy emotional patterns for themselves and their families.

Ithaca Mama - Facebook group for mamas that is a place to gather with other mamas in the Ithaca area for information and support. Post about local events and opportunities, vent frustrations respectfully and rejoice in mamahood wins. This is a community group, monitored by each other from the heartspace, encouraging each other to be our best selves, gather in community and lift each other up when we're down.

Yoga for New Moms - Yoga for New Moms is a way for moms to connect with their bodies and babies through yoga. Held at Jillian's Drawers on Mondays from 4-5pm, classes include gentle movement, breath work, poses to do with your baby, infant massage, and restorative yoga. This is an informal class where sharing stories, laughing, feeding baby, and bonding of all kinds is encouraged!

Meditation for Moms - This 4-week course is designed for busy moms (or moms-to-be) who want to find stillness through a meditation practice at home. Offered 2 - 3 times per year, this course teaches the basics of meditation and the tools you need to stay calm and focused during the ups & downs of parenthood.
