Thirsties once again hits the mark with a pocket diaper with double gussets at the legs! Why is this so great, you say? Well, because it keeps messes in so well! Most pocket diapers do not have double gussets at the legs, so this sets Thirsties apart. Another perk is that the inner fleece pocket has openings at both end, meaning your inserts can agitate out in the wash (this can depend on your washer, however). Thirsties One-Size Pockets offer a combo newborn and full size hemp/organic cotton insert that can be configured in 4 ways to suit your child's absorbency needs. Waterproof protection and adjustability all rolled up into one stylish, comfortable and extremely effective cloth diaper! Pocket diapers wash well and dry more quickly, aside from offering a stay-dry layer inside, making them very popular for both night and day use.
Why do we love Thirsties? First of all, they make awesome cloth diapers! They've been a USA-based company that employs a whole lotta local sewers and stay-at-home moms since the get-go. We've been selling their products for many years now, and they always have great customer service and supportive policies for their retailers and customers. Their double-gusseted diaper cover has been at the top of our list for so many years, and is still going strong! There is lots to feel good about here; supporting Thirsties Baby and Jillian's is directly helping local economies and family-oriented businesses. <3

How to prepare for first use
We recommend washing and drying your Thirsties OS Pocket shells one time before use. Be sure to fasten aplix (hook & loop) closures before washing. That's it!
Because bamboo/cotton/hemp retains its natural oils, it's important to remove this waxy outer fiber layer before using them for the first time. We recommend washing the organic cotton/hemp inserts with hot sudsy water and drying them in the dryer at least three times before their first use. (That's wash - dry - wash - dry - wash - dry). To test if they're ready to use, make a cupped pocket in the insert and pour half a cup of water into it. If the water is not readily absorbed, then they should be washed and dried more. Thirsties hemp/cotton inserts will be fully absorbent by about 8 washes/dries.
We recommend washing your Thirsties hemp/cotton inserts by themselves during this break-in period (or with other diapers that also need to have these oils removed). This will reduce pilling and prevent the oils from the bamboo/cotton from coating other diapers, causing them to repel water, rather than absorb it.
