Maya Wrap baby slings are our most popular ring sling. They are made from hand-woven cotton, which makes them breathable with just the right amount of give.
Ring slings let you carry your newborn facing you on your chest, and allow for easier nursing in carrier, as you can loosen the fabric and help support your baby at the breast. When your infant has more head control, she can face out. When your baby can sit up well, he can sit comfortably on your hip!
The Lightly Padded Maya Wrap has a shoulder pad with just the right amount of cushioning, making it comfortable without adding excessive bulk. The shoulder pad design also spreads the fabric across your back, giving great support. This classic sling still gets rave reviews for comfort and ease of use!
The wide tail allows for use as a nursing cover or sun cover as well. If you don't want you baby's face or head bumping the rings, simply wrap the tail around the ring, as shown below:

Customizable fit. With a ring sling, there’s no “I guess this doesn’t fit yet” moment. Each part of the ring sling can be tightened or loosened, so your baby has a perfect fit for their specific body (and yours too!). Adaptable sizing means ring slings can be shared between caretakers with different body types. Our wide hems are comfortable for your baby’s legs.
Ease of use. Ring slings are simple and elegant. Pull the tail to tighten and lift up on the rings to loosen--it’s as easy as that! Our contrasting edges help you identify each side of the tail. Keep the essentials handy in the zippered pocket.
Positions. We offer 4 comfortable positions to allow for your baby’s needs! Newborns can face inward, resting on your chest. As they uncurl from the womb, they can sit in the ring sling with their legs out. At around four months, they can sit cross-legged and face outward--lots of fun for making faces at family meals! At around six months, you can switch to the hip carry and explore the world from the same point of view!
Pocket. The zippered pocket is large enough for a diaper and wipes, keys and phone, or whatever you’d like to keep close at hand!
Size. Maya Wrap ring slings come in 4 sizes, from small to extra large. In many situations, one ring sling can easily be shared between two people who are very different sizes, making them a great choice for sharing with a partner, grandparent, or babysitter!
Rings. The safety of your babies is our very first priority. Our rings are made in the USA by SlingRings, and each ring has been individually tested to 250 pounds.

What shoulder style should you choose?
It really is a personal choice. The beauty of the Lightly Padded shoulder is its simplicity, and the beauty of the ComfortFit shoulder is its versatile shoulder.
The Lightly Padded Ring Sling shoulder has a light cushion for comfort and ease, while the rest of the sling is unpadded for total adjustability. Lightly Padded shoulders have a fixed width and are easy to adjust; pull it on until it cups your shoulder and forget about it! The padding keeps your shoulder comfy even when your preschooler wants some snuggles!
The ComfortFit Ring Sling is Maya Wrap's newest design, a soft gathered shoulder with a small spandex panel insert. This gives your arm a greater range of motion, since the shoulder stretches with you! You can also adjust the width of the shoulder by sliding the removable fabric band up or down—giving you the exact shoulder width that works for your body! If you love the standard Maya Wrap Lightly Padded shoulder feeling, with its narrow width and cushy feel, you slide the loop up! If you prefer a gathered shoulder to spread out with its sturdy support, slide it down.
Maya Wrap ring sling sizes are based purely on the length it takes to wrap one around you and your baby, so they depend on your shoulder-to-waist size, your height, and to some degree, your baby’s size!
Maya Wrap ring slings are all the same width - 30 inches / 76 cm wide. The only difference between sizes is in the length of the tail! Ring sling sizes do not correlate to clothing sizes, so choose your size according to your desired tail length. Please see the sizing chart for images that can help you decide. The model shown is 5'6", 170 lbs., and she wears a size 14. You may want to have a slightly longer tail to cover your chest during nursing. If you are using it as a nursing cover, the tail should reach to mid-thigh.
You can also take a measuring tape or a piece of string and measure where the ring sling would fall on you to get an idea of how each size would fit!

Maya Wraps come in a variety of beautiful 100% cotton hand loomed fabrics. Hand loomed fabrics are cooler, more breathable than machine woven fabrics, and have just the right amount of give. Hand loomed fabrics are incredibly durable and extremely soft which eliminates the need for bulky padding or double layers of fabric that can overheat baby. Whether it's our beautiful burnt orange fabric for the Fall, or our happy Aqua Stripe fabric for the summer, you'll want one for every outfit and season!
Safe Fabric Dyes: Maya Wrap Baby Carriers do not contain any copper, nickel, lead, mercury, cadmium, cobalt, aluminum, arsenic, chromium or any other poisonous substance.
All Maya Wraps are machine washable in cold water and should be line dried. Do NOT bleach. No thread is guaranteed colorfast. Your Maya Wrap has been pre-washed so the excess dye is rinsed out, however, we recommend that you perform a color test on your Maya Wrap material before using it by pressing a moist white cloth or cotton ball against it, the white cloth or cotton ball should not turn color.
