About Robeez
Caring about first steps – it’s about more than the shoes we make. We also care about our communities. This is why we created Robeez Heart & Sole program of charitable giving.
The Robeez Heart & Sole program focuses on supporting the needs of infants and children in need. Today, we regularly provide shoes to disadvantaged children all around the world. Since the inception of the program, Robeez has donated over 160,000 pairs of adorable shoes and booties. Here are some of the programs we have supported since establishing Heart & Sole in 2003:
Kids in Distressed Situations Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) is Robeez official charitable giving partner, helping facilitate almost every donation made to date. The most recent partnership during Robeez 2008 Season of Giving campaign resulted in a donation of over $250,000 worth of Robeez footwear for infants living in poverty.
Americares During our 2007 Season of Giving campaign, Robeez partnered with K.I.D.S. and Americares to donate over $300,000 worth of shoes and booties to orphanages and health care facilities. And an even bigger wow: the campaign brought the total number of shoes and booties donated to-date to an impressive 150,000 pairs.
Children’s Hunger Fund Robeez donated 36,000 pairs of shoes and booties from our 2006 Season of Giving campaign to Children’s Hunger Fund. The donation will be used in CHF’s schools and orphanages programs in Nicaragua, Mexico, Armenia, Romania, and Cambodia.
Success by 6 To celebrate Robeez’ tenth anniversary, we hosted “Strollerthon,” a charity walk, bringing family and friends together in support of a Success by 6. Robeez raised $50,000 for Success by 6, a United Way initiative in support of early childhood development programs in BC. Matched by the provincial government dollar-for-dollar, the event’s proceeds totaled $100,000.
Canadian Red Cross Following the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia, Robeez donated funds to the Canadian Red Cross. The Tsunami Appeal assisted hundreds of thousands of families in tsunami-affected countries in the relief and recovery process. The donation helped bring food, clean water, shelter, medicine, and other necessities to those in need.
Free the Children Robeez has also committed to the “Adopt a Village” program, organized by Free the Children, the world’s largest network of children helping children through education. In 2005, Robeez adopted a village in China, and helped build a school. Robeez employees selected a village in China, the home country of many of our employees.
Orphanages Over the past few years, Robeez has sent thousands of much-needed pairs of shoes to orphanages, foster homes, and care centers. Most of these donations have taken place in China, Vietnam, Ethiopia, and Russia.
Other Charities On an ongoing basis, Robeez Heart & Sole program donates footwear to children in-need. Some of the organizations we have helped include The Salvation Army, World Vision, Ronald McDonald House, and Enfance & Partage.
