The most important things to remember about caring for FuzziBunz are:
- Never use fabric softener or dryer sheets. They make the fleece repel
- Wash
new hemp inserts 4 times by themselves with extra hot water and lots of
detergent before washing with FuzziBunz. The hot washes and detergent
will remove the natural oil in the hemp. (If natural oils from the
hemp get on the inner layer of fleece in FuzziBunz, the fleece will
begin to repel, causing leaks when baby wets.)
- If the fleece layer begins to repel, for whatever reason, simply machine wash your diapers two times on warm with Sensi-Clean, followed by three rinse cycles. Contact us if you have any questions!
How to prepare for first use
We recommend
washing and drying your FuzziBunz one time before using. Drying FuzziBunz in the dryer for the first time may help seal the seams, ensuring
they remain waterproof.

About the Fabric
The inner fabric is made of 100% high
quality polyester fleece. The newer fleece, which premiered in 2004,
does not pill and stays soft wash after wash. The outer fabric is made
of waterproof PUL (polyurethane laminate).

Our Experience
We love FuzziBunz diapers! They are perfect for night time use, trips, and while we're out and about (they also make a great swim diaper with no liner). For night time we like using a hemp Stuffin insert or a Hemp Babies insert (hemp is super absorbent for its weight) combined with a Cotton Babies microfiber insert. Just make sure the microfiber insert is closest to your baby's skin - sometimes when a baby pees heavily, it will roll right off a smooth material like hemp. If a microfiber insert is placed closest to your baby, it's rough surface will quickly absorb pee. Microfiber also distributes wetness faster than hemp.
The most important advice for these diapers is to ensure you have a good fit. The size chart is fairly accurate. A good fit means that there is no gap between the diaper and your baby's thighs, but also no red marks when the diaper is taken off. If you overstuff a diaper, there will be a gap between the diaper and the thighs, causing it to leak. They didn't work well for us when our daughter was in between sizes (about 6-12 months, she was just too chunky for the Mediums, but not long enough for the Larges). We recommend trying one for fit first if you have a long or chubby baby.

While we can by no means guarantee you will be able to
sell your FuzziBunz for any price, here is what we found:
For the week of July 20, 2005, there 57 auctions on
e-bay, from which 246 used FuzziBunz pocket diapers
sold, for an average price of $9.09.
We use a resale value of $7 when calculating how much
money you can save by using cloth diapers over
disposables. We feel this is a safe, conservative resale
value when budgeting for the cost of these pocket
diapers.
